Ingredients
3 tablespoons maté tea
2 tablespoons of mild honey
250 ml water
juice of half lime
3 sheets of gelatine
first thought was to make a panna cotta, which is a very nice and simple dessert to make. there is one perfect recipe already available. so i tried something else today.
put the gelatine in cold water
put the maté into boiling water and let it rest for 10 minutes
after that, pour the tea through a fine sive into a pot and heat it
add all remaining ingredients, including the gelatine and stir, until you get a plain liquid
pour the liquid into small glasses and put them into the fridge until the jelly is cold and gelatinous
now you can serve the jelly with the glass or without. on the picture i decorated the jelly with raspberry sauce i had left from yesterdays panna cotta and a few drops of cream.
better would be to decorate it with mint leafs or lemon balm leafs. or both. and whipped cream. and a small paper umbrella. decoration is a must in this case - be creative - because without deco this stuff looks like something straight from the nose.
