1/2 cup Butter
1/2 cup Crisco (shortening)
1/2 cup Powder Sugar
2 cup Flour
1 cup Pecans (ground fine)
1 tsp Vanilla
1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar (optional)

How to make Families (secret) Pecan Crescents
Mix together until you get a dough looking substance! Form into about 60 crescent shapes. Bake at 375 for 8-10 min or until brown. Sprinkle with more Powder Sugar while hot.

I LOVE this cookies!! What a GREAT idea to use pecans! My mom usually makes this with cashew nuts or almonds. Next time I'll try pecans, thank you for sharing the recipe. And also, adding some shredded edam cheese will bring out extra savory flavor :)
