Fried Pig Liver with Black Pepper and Garlic

Ingredients

Serving: 2-3
  • 500 g Pig Liver, cut and sliced
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 5 cloves Garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp Ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp Brown rum (or any similar alcohol drink, e.g. brandy)
  • 2 tbsp oil

How to make Fried Pig Liver with Black Pepper and Garlic


Utensils: Sauce pan, bowl 
  • Wash liver, then slice and cut (see photo)
  • Put into a bowl then pour milk, leave for 15 minutes
  • Rinse milk away
  • Put salt, sugar, soy sauce, garlic, black pepper and rum; mix them well
  • Leave for 5 minutes
  • Put oil into a saucepan, turn on high heat, wait until the oil is hot
  • Put liver with mixed ingredients and fry until there is no blood coming out of the liver
  • Be careful, don't fry for too long because the liver will get overcooked  
  • Serving with jasmine rice

    Hey thank you. It tastes okay. I still don't like the texture of the liver. At home, I only have an electric cook top and it doesn't work well. Let me know if you discover the tip.
