Ingredients

  • some fried shredded patatoes (rosti)
  • some oil
  • much more cream
  • pepper & paprika
  • smoked pork chops
  • shredded cheese (e.g. Gauda)

  • a (round) casserole (min. 20cm diameter)

How to make Marianne's Kasseler Kruscht


  1. Put some oil in the casserole and disperse it.
  2. Put the smoked pork chop into the casserole. Try to cover the whole base of the casserole with the meat.
  3. Put the fried shredded patatoes on the smodek pork chops. Try to cover all the meat with these.
  4. Fill up the casserole with cream until you can't see the fried shredded patatoes anymore.
  5. Add some more cream...
  6. Add some pepper and parika.
  7. Cover the cream with the cheese.
  8. Use more cheese...
  9. Don't mind the calories. Come on, more cheese...
  10. Put it in the oven (180-200°C). Wait for at least 45 minutes until the cheese is getting brown.
  11. Eat! Don't mind how it looks.
