How to make Teriyaki Tsukune
Mix chicken with egg, onion, sugar, soy sauce until all is combined.
Shape mixture into 10-12 cakes and dust with cornflower. Place cakes on an oiled pan over moderate heat and cook until brown (about 3 minutes), flip and cook the other side.
Once the meat is cooked through, add the teriyaki sauce and glaze the tsukune, shaking the pan and flipping the cakes so the sauce does not burn.
Serve with rice.

muttoneer saysThe cakes are kind of small... but with rice it could certainly serve 3-4. Could also serve two people with big appetites, I suppose. Hope you enjoy.

chrisleeuk saysI can't wait to try this at the weekend. I'm new to the site and living in england so perhaps i'm missing something but could you tell me what the quantities T and t are? Is it table spoons or tea spoons of sugar, soy sauce and onions? Thanks.
-
muttoneer saysThat is exactly correct. Big T is tablespoon, little t is teaspoon. I hope you like this.

jeannieyo saysthis looks great. how does one save recipes to have easy reference later?
-
muttoneer saysSadly there doesn't seem to be a 'print view' function, but you could probably make and crop a screen capture and save or print that. Short of that, copy the ingredients and the procedure into a word document. That's what I usually do.

kosmosiki saysLooks great. I've tried it and it semi worked. How do you make the meat cakes stick? I've put roughlt similar propotions and the cake mass was unfirm and sticky (almost impossible to form) so I've added some cornflour to make it firmer and it worked... But maybe there is some trick to that?
-
Trisk saysI liked this a lot.
-
SanibelSue saysWhat is cornflour and where can I find it. Is there a substitution?
-
muttoneer saysIt's the same thing as cornstarch, but a term used in commonwealth nations. I clearly watch too much British television.
-
fishandkat saysI just made this today. I love it! It's really tasty. I added a little bit of flour to make the mixture firmer. Thank you for sharing the recipe :)
