telliecoin saysI was going to say an oven is enough but I remembered you told me it's hard to find ovens in Japan oh welly well! You could also steam the corn :)
-
telliecoin saysand that is a 3 star piece of corn right there! hmph
-
yongfook says3 stars would have been visible freshly-ground black pepper and a glistening knob of butter melting off the cob...mmmmm

whatsound saysNice snack.. and healthier than the average snack i eat! I never really think to bake corn, as I usually just have corn boiled with Chinese soups. I guess baking it would keep more of the flavour in the corn :) Btw, isn't hard to poke the wooden chopstick into the corn cob *_*
-
telliecoin saysyongfook - the butter melted from the extreme hotness and most of the pepper was on the other side where I already took a big bite and then realised i wanted to take a pic whatsound - I also have it in soup, with chicken, carrots, potatoes and onions :) it makes the soup sweet... well the trick is you have to make sure the corn is really hot then shove the chopstick in when it gets cold the cob gets really tough

Vivren saysBoiling the corn also works if you don't have an oven. You just need a very wide pot.

nice one! buttery, salt & peppered corn is so simple but delicious. I wish I could eat it more often. my next kitchen MUST have a full charcoal broiler...
