Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
3 tbs butter
1 small tomato
1 small yellow onion
6 slices Velveeta cheese
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp pepper
6 dinner rolls
(Serves 2)
Preparation:
Knead the ground beef thoroughly - this will keep the pieces together while you cook. Add garlic salt, pepper, and oregano as you do this.
Set in fridge to marinate.
Cooking:
Form the beef into 6 balls. Make an indentation and fill with 1/4 tsp of butter. Close indentation and smooth. (If you don't see it, the calories don't count!!)
Flatten slightly to form patty.
Place rolls in the oven at 200 degrees.
Heat a medium sized pan on medium heat and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
Cook the patties on each side for 3-4 minutes. When almost done, place a slice of cheese on top and cook for an additional 2 mins or until it melts slightly. Place on kitchen towel.
Remove buns from oven and slice in half. Slice your tomatoes, and assemble your burger however you like it!
** Not entirely mine!! Adapted from a recipe I found online. I'm not fond of burgers myself, but my husband thought it was the yummiest thing.. I think mini burgers are always better than real burgers!
